CYCLE STARS BRITISH SCHOOLS GRASS TRACK RACING

Event programme: Timed lap, Sprint laps, Grid mass start
Individual riders and teams earn points for each event, the rider and team with the most points win.
A team is 3 riders from the same school or club in the same age category.
U7 (SCHOOL YEARS 1 and 2) – RACE START 10:00
U9 (SCHOOL YEARS 3 and 4) – RACE START 11:30
U11 (SCHOOL YEARS 5 and 6) RACE START 13:00
U13 (SCHOOL YEARS 7 and 8) RACE START 14:30
In addition there will be an award for the fastest girl and fastest boy in each category.
Please allow 20 minutes for registration and collecting numbers.
BSCA MEMBERS ADMISSION £6.00 NON MEMBERS PAY £2.00 FOR A DAY RACE LICENCE

It is the responsibility of parent/ guardian to ensure that their young rider’s bike is safe and in good working order. The bike must be fitted with two brakes and freewheel/ gears (no fixed wheel) Please remove items hanging from the frame such as bicycle locks.
Tyres must be suitable for grass, that means the tread must have a depth of at least 1mm, this can be measured using a 5p piece, the tread should be to the dotted line. Bikes will be inspected before the race, if the bike does not reach the required standard, your young rider will not be able to race and you will lose your entry fee.
